On the heels of an apparent suicide attempt, Owen Wilson has left the cast of Tropic Thunder, an ensemble comedy currently shooting in Hawaii. Wilson was supposed to begin shooting his part in a few weeks; his withdrawal seems to have been a mutual decision by him and director Ben Stiller. No word yet on whether the actor will continue with Marley & Me, which has a tentative January shooting date, or with his other scheduled projects.
