The divorce proceedings between Reese Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe took another turn this week, when Phillippe asked for custody of their two children.
Witherspoon’s request for divorce, filed last November, asked for physical custody of their daughter Ava, age 7, and their son Deacon, age 3. Her petition also asked for visitation rights for Phillippe as well as exclusive rights to the couple’s house. Phillippe’s petition, filed May 15, requests joint legal custody and physical custody of the children, with visitation rights granted to both on an equal basis. Expect a lot more legal action on both sides before this is resolved.
