Head of Cartoon Network resigns

Turner Broadcasting’s marketing campaign gone wrong will cost more than money — it’s resulted in at least one person losing his job. Today, the head of the Cartoon Network, Jim Sampler, announced he was stepping down effective immediately. Sampler had been with the network for 13 years, and in an internal e-mail apologized for the “negative publicity” caused by the campaign … as opposed to, I suppose, the positive publicity he’d been hoping for.
