Adult Swim promo may land Turner in hot water

Boston was subjected to a series of bomb scares today after several suspicious items were found throughout town. In each case, authorities found that the objects were not dangerous, though they took the precaution of destroying one found in Charlestown near Sullivan Square.

There is of yet no word on the items’ origin from state and local authorities. But Turner Broadcasting has stated that the items — “magnetic lights that pose no danger,” according to a statement — were part of a marketing campaign for “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” an animated show on Adult Swim. Now, I know some people think any publicity is good publicity, but aren’t there less risky of getting coverage? Like, for instance, ordering advertising on CNN, TBS, and other members of the Time-Warner empire?
